How do you know what a boy's intent is when he asks you to his house?

We're sopres in high school and recently this guy has been messaging me over facebook a lot. At first I figured he was just being friendly, but then he started asking me to come to his house to watch TV or study or sled. I'm not interested in him like that, we barely know each other, but I'm not sure how to respond. Has he been trying to ask me for a date or is he just trying to become friends with me? I'm not actually interested in haveing any sort of relationship with him, as aweful as it sounds. Some of his messages have been a bit insulting and annoying. He's never talked to me in school even though we have cl together. I've made excuses the other times, but he's starting to annoy me with all the messages and I'd like him to stop. Thanks.
