What do Muslims do when one of their Ayatollahs or high ranking Muslims are inated?

no it's not over. it's like a feud only on a bigger scale. if the terrorist do something, at least they know we will do what we say. Like a bully if they don't smarten up you have to beat em a little harder until they want no more.
