Rabbits- things to know .............. ?

you should NOT give the rabbit anything but timothy hay and pellets for the first few months, because hay and pellets has all the nutrition she needs.... wait a few months to give her treats... you should not giver he carrots, carrots have a lot of sugar and are only good for rabbits in MODERATION.... you should read up about which type of vegetable are good for rabbits and which are not.. also, when feeding them veggies (which should not be until they are older), make sure not to give them too much, or else they will get diahrea, which is extremely bad.. also, you said you have a wire cage? wire cages are bad because they disform rabbits' feet... if you cannot afford a different cagem you should buy some of those floor matts made of hay that they sell at petsmart, so the rabbit has an area to relax where her feet will not be on the metal wiring..... definitely bring her to the vet for a check up, and you should also get her neutered.. once she starts going through heat she may become aggressive like my rabbits did, so in order to prevent this you should get her neutered. a lot of people usually find that getting their rabbits neutered makes them more loving.. also is you dont get females neutured they're more prone to uterus cancer.... if you want to know more about rabbits theres a great book, its called rabbit secrets.. u can find it on goolgle and buy it for $19.95, it downloads right onto your comp, i got it and it was great and very informative!
