For those of who live in the oc will the improved 22 fwy be obsolete 5 to10yrs from now.?

Of course it will. Anytime a freeway is widened any improvements in congestion is lost within 5-10 years and sometimes you don't even see any improvement b/c it took so long to widen the freewway that traffic by the time it's done traffic is just as bad as it was before. I don't know when transportation and land use planners in Southern CA will get it through their heads that you can't keep expanding freeways forever and it just invites more growth and more cars. Having other options would do more for the region's commuters that adding one or two lanes to a freeway. Not everyone wants to drive but we have to b/c we have no other options b/c of poor public transit and bad land use planning.
