This is a true tragedy. Considering the article says this dolphin's extinction is "due entirely to human action," it would have been better for us to have bred some. This is our fault, but we cannot go back in time. We must learn from this and protect our environment. We cannot make the same mistake again. We cannot be so ignorant of animal life. They deserve protection too. It is amazing that in this day and age with all of our vast knowledge and technology, we did not bother to save the Baiji dolphin from extinction. A true shame.
