What is the answer to this question about buoyancy and weight?
the wood would not fully submerge but if the iron has less surface area than that would contribute and the water that was wiped away you loose more water with the iron there fore you loose more weight the wood would only displace a certain amount leaving more water in the beaker denser water which is heaver.
