Here comes goodbye by rascal flatts video meaning?

Okay im confused with the new rascal flatts video for here comes goodbye.. .I LOVE the song and i watched the video and i can't quite understand it. im thinking the video is of a woman who's father has just ped, but she also has a son that ped away on her and in the end she asks him to take care of her son?.. idk just some insight from everyone
