huh? if you're thinking of the bedloe's island, statue of liberty? way wrong since it was built in france and delivered well into the 19th century. sorry charlie. as much as i like to think of nyc being the hub of it all, it isn't this! before the white house, any symbol of the usa was the idea of the usa (since one became the other well into the 18th century).
